_ OEM or Original Equipment Manufacturer components of your vehicle are those which are made and marketed by the same company of which the part or component that originally came with the vehicle.  With so many options available in the market, while you think of changing your wheel, OEM wheels are the best that you can have. Not every manufacturer has created a wheel just-for-your vehicle. Moreover, when you go for these wheels, you are choosing something which you have used previously as well as are improved by the manufacturer over the long time through collective data interpretation.

When you are choosing any OEM component for your vehicle, be it the wheels or the gearbox equipments, you are choosing from a line of products which is a household name, rather than a third party vendor who don’t find any need to make a reputation but only marketing is their aim. Third party products may cost you a bit less than the OEM components, but what you have in hand may provide you with much lesser advantages than the OEMs. A third party product can never give you the same kind of after purchase services that an OEM manufacturer can provide. Some of these third party manufacturers don’t even intend to provide customer support and services.

Moreover, the third party products are not even near to the reliability factor that the OEM components can give. For instance if you are in need of wheels for your cars, which you had bought for its ability to roam in all terrains, while replacing them OEM wheels can give you the same confidence that you had while buying the car. Some other third party vendor’s wheel can never provide you with the same kind of experience that the OEM manufacturer has in regard to the generic product you are buying for your vehicle.

OEM rims as well as wheels will hold your vehicle as well as your wallet intact. many a times you may find people complaining about the low quality alloy wheels which has given up under pressure, which they bought as replacement to their original rims. IN a way the third party components can make you spend more under the name of cheap prices. It is always better to go for OEM Rims if you want your vehicle to perform better.

Another thing which may tempt you in buying third party components, especially wheels and rims is that they are stunningly good looking. But as they say, looks are deceptive. These good looking and shining wheels can be simply steel wheels rather than some strong alloy wheels like the OEM ones. Plus, the look of your car is designed by factory designers, and the originals will only increase the same, rather than some shining spares. Plus, if you search the market, you can avail the OEM components at much lesser cost than the company dealers ask for. To end, it is the experts who prefer OEM components, always, over any other company producing parts for your vehicle. For more information –Read our post on Mercedes Wheels & AMG Wheels.
